As a wedding photographer, I have one of the most rewarding jobs I can image. Knowing that for the rest of their lives, the couples that I work for will be able to look back an cherish the moments that I capture of their special day gives me great joy – even when I’ve only known the couple for a short time. So, when I get the opportunity to capture those moments for a couple that I’ve known for years and feel like extended family – well, it just takes that joy to a whole other level.
I’m so delighted that Erica and Bryan allowed me to be a part of their magical day at Mellon’s Banquet Hall in Lawson, MO. The setting was so beautiful, with the ceremony nestled up nest to a babbling waterfall and gorgeous pond.
The late summer sun definitely showed up early for the festivities, but we were blessed with a wonderful breeze that made the outdoor setting very comfortable for all (also a wise move to dress the guys in vest with no jackets!).
The country themed festivities went off without a hitch. The wedding party and guests then danced and toasted the evening away until the sun was down. At which point they were treated to an epic fireworks display, putting an exclamation point on the day’s celebration.
